there is no chance that I'll ever write a parenting book

But maybe I should read one. This morning while I was helping Kate get ready for preschool she asked me, "Mama, are my eyes still blue?"

The reason she asked this is because a couple of months ago, when she was holding everything in and didn't want to use the potty, I may have suggested to her that if she didn't let the stinkers out her eyes would turn brown. It didn't work but she sure remembers the comment, and every now and again she needs to have her eye color verified.

Mother of the year material. Yep, that's me.

This made me laugh! Kids have an amazing memory for things you say.

I know that's the kind of thing that makes you *feel* like you couldn't possibly write a parenting book, but don't you think it would be an awfully, practical, realistic one? S
